Sarah & Ryan

Our Story

Our story started in Baltimore, where chance seemed to keep weaving our paths together. We first met through a mutual friend—Sarah was exploring the dating world, while Ryan was navigating the aftermath of a recent breakup. Over the course of a year, fate kept bringing us together, our paths intersecting just enough to make an impression.

Finally, after countless chance encounters, we found ourselves on our first date in a cozy Baltimore restaurant. When it came time to order, Ryan casually went for deviled eggs as his main course, leaving Sarah confused. Were they just doing appetizers? Was this the main course? Not wanting to go hungry, she went all in and ordered a full meal, all the while thinking it was a little strange—but something about his quirky ways only made her more drawn to him. The night unfolded with ease, and a sense that this first date might just be the start of something special.

That evening, we shared stories about our lives—Ryan’s passion for art and design, Sarah’s dedication to helping others, our travels, and the friendships and family ties that shape us. The connection was instant, and we shared countless laughs.

Nearly seven years later, we've journeyed across the country, living everywhere from Laguna Beach to San Diego to Saint Petersburg. What started as a series of coincidences became the beginning of a love that neither of us had expected, but both are so grateful to have found.

The Engagement

Ryan knew he wanted to propose in a way that was personal, quiet, and meaningful, so he chose a national preserve in Saint Petersburg, FL, as the perfect backdrop. After a peaceful hike through the beautiful landscape, Ryan had a surprise up his sleeve: he’d packed a lunch, including pre-packaged deviled eggs in his backpack. But as the day went on, he struggled to find the right moment to propose, and by the time the opportunity came, the eggs were, sadly, no longer edible. The deviled eggs, though, felt like a full-circle moment. They were a quirky reminder of their first date.

Even though Sarah helped pick out the ring months earlier, she was completely caught off guard when Ryan got down on one knee. That day, with the deviled eggs forgotten and the ring still a surprise, became one they would never forget.

The Wedding Day

Since our relationship has been nothing but an adventure, and with Ryan's family roots in Scotland, it felt like the perfect place to celebrate our love. We felt a deep connection to the country, culture, and people, making Scotland the perfect fit for our personalities and the journey we’ve shared. We can't wait to celebrate with you in this special place that means so much to us!
